A Greater Manchester police officer in charge of a cadet unit allegedly used the training scheme as 'a grooming playground', a court has heard.
PC Adnan Ali ran the Trafford Volunteer Police Cadet Scheme, which was set up for youngsters aged 13 to 17, and is alleged to have sent sexualised messages to some of them on social media.
A jury at Liverpool Crown Court heard he also massaged the shoulders of one teenage male cadet, hugged him, and asked him if he would ever consider having sex with a boy. These include sexually assaulting two teenage girls and a teenage boy, and misconduct in public office involving sexualised conversations with six other teenage boys and asking to be sent indecent images.
