TV presenter Charlotte Hawkins is filming a new documentary to explore the dangerous side of dogs, following a shock attack from one on her friend's daughter. The star, who appears on Good Morning Britain, revealed to The Mirror that she was out a walk with her friends' eight-year-old daughter and carrying her own baby in a sling when two large dogs jumped up at a garden fence. The 48-year-old then claimed that the dog broke through the fence and knocked the little girl to the ground and bit her, but Charlotte was unable to step in and help fight it off.
Thankfully the little girl recovered after medical care, but the presenter said that moment changed her opinion on how dangerous dogs can be and was shocked by how quickly it jumped at them.
She said: "The two big dogs were barking aggressively. I was saying, ‘Don’t worry, they won’t be able to get out’. But one of the dogs did get out.
I felt particularly vulnerable because I had my baby in a child carrier, so I was holding her and I knew I couldn’t step in and help.
