Susanna Reid said she 'fought with Piers Morgan every day' before his dramatic exit from Good Morning Britain.The TV presenter sensationally quit the ITV programme three years ago following an on-air disagreement about Meghan Markle.

Viewers were left in shock on Tuesday, 9 March 2021, when Piers dramatically stormed off the set of Good Morning Britain after an argument with co-star Alex Beresford about the Duchess of Sussex.The 59 year old has been critical of Meghan and Prince Harry since they stepped down as senior members of the Royal Family, but his debate with Alex saw him temporarily leave GMB.

In an insight into that time, his co-host Susanna has opened up about their friendship behind the scenes and what it was like in the days leading up to his surprising exit.

Speaking to The Times, she said of the former Britain's Got Talent judge: "I mean, first, he’s tough - I don’t mean tough to work with, he’s great to work with - but he could start a fight in an empty room, and he would start a fight with me every morning on air, so I toughened up." Susanna added: "It gives you confidence in your own opinion and in your skills.
