Ed Balls has hinted at a bizarre 'feud' with singer Kimberley Walsh, after competing against her on The Great Sport Relief Bake Off back in 2016.

The Good Morning Britain host, 56, discussed Girls Aloud's rumoured reunion on the ITV breakfast show on Wednesday with co-host Susanna Reid, 52, when his appearance on the Bake Off charity special came up.

Ed competed on the show against Kimberley, 41, Victoria Coren Mitchell and Chris Kamara, with Kimberley emerging as the winner of the episode - much to keen baker Ed's disappointment.

He joked that the singer had "pipped me to the post" on GMB, as he discussed battling it out in the final. Ed made a majestic ski jump cake in a bid to take home the win, but Kimberley triumphed with her heartfelt bake, which showed her and bandmate Cheryl climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
