A Glasgow pub renowned for its "cult status" has been named among the UK’s top 10 must-visit drinking spots this summer. Phil Mellows, a seasoned expert on the best bars in the UK and the author of Beer Breaks in Britain: 30 Places to Explore and Drink Good Beer, has handpicked his top recommendations for the season.

Among them is The Laurieston, an iconic bar on Bridge Street in Glasgow, famed for its “almost unspoilt 1960s” charm. This nostalgic watering hole, which regularly attracts film crews, has become a local favourite with a cult following, Glasgow Live reported.

Phil, who serves as the head judge for both The Publican Awards and the Great British Pub Awards, also lent his support to The Mirror’s campaign to safeguard the future of pubs.
