Thomas Bowers, 33, was pronounced dead at around 5.25am on Friday, April 14. Police are also probing the attempted murder of a 52-year-old man who was discovered in a serious condition at the scene where Thomas died.At around 6.10am on the day of the murder, a white Vauxhall Astra was discovered on fire in nearby Gadie.
The car blaze is being treated as wilful. The fire is also being treated as a targeted attack and police have confirmed they are investigating the incident.The man, who asked not to be named, told the Record: "It's been pretty bad for gangland activity in the area.
