Gangland activity in Glasgow has left terrified residents in the north of the city fearing they could be "caught in the crossfire".It comes just days after the brutal murder of a young dad in Auchinloch Street in Springburn, while several cars have also been set on fire in surrounding streets.
Thomas Bowers, 33, was pronounced dead at around 5.25am on Friday, April 14. Police are also probing the attempted murder of a 52-year-old man who was discovered in a serious condition at the scene where Thomas died.At around 6.10am on the day of the murder, a white Vauxhall Astra was discovered on fire in nearby Gadie.

The fire is also being treated as a targeted attack and police have confirmed they are investigating the incident.The man, who asked not to be named, told the Record: "It's been pretty bad for gangland activity in the area.
