Shocking video footage has emerged of the moment a man was dragged off a plane that departed Glasgow Airport on Tuesday afternoon after it was forced to make an unexpected stop hours from its destination.
The Jet2 flight set off from Scotland at around 2.40pm on May 2 and was headed to Dalaman, in Turkey, but was swiftly diverted to Sofia, in Bulgaria, after a drunken passenger allegedly abused cabin crew and caused chaos.
Footage shared with Glasgow Live shows the man being dragged off the plane and he let out a scream as he was escorted off the plane by his arms and legs.A fellow passenger, who was travelling with his family, described the scenes as "scary" and said the man was causing "danger."He said: "A passenger was out of their head, he was drunk and being abusive towards the cabin crew.
He started causing danger."There was a load of commotion and the crew were visibly shaken up. The diversion caused a rapid descent into Sofia airport, it was scary."The flight was diverted and he got carried off the plane.
