Gladiators legend admits 'mistakes' after heartbreaking divorce

Former Gladiators icon Diane Youdale, fondly remembered as Jet, has shared a poignant seven-word confession regarding her recent split.The 54-year-old star, who now goes by the name Diane Jetstrong, candidly expressed regret over her brief year-long marriage to Zoe Gilbert.The pair married only four months after they crossed paths in a car park but they split up in July 2024.

Since the separation, Diane has opened up about her feelings on the whirlwind romance and her subsequent realisation that all was not as it seemed, admitting she felt "hoodwinked".

Diane's heartfelt admission came on the 'People Are Deep' podcast, saying: "It's called being hoodwinked because sometimes what you see on the packet isn't what you get and I tragically did that. "I just accepted the fact that I'd got it wrong, we make mistakes." Diane also reflected philosophically about moving forward, stating: "I can't change my past, to me anybody coming into my life, regardless of their history, their history's made their present, and it's our present we can move forwards to for our future." Diane has previously spoken out about the dissolution of her marriage to Zoe.

In an interview with MailOnline, she disclosed that towards the end of their relationship, she "snapped," resulting in Zoe "fall over the back of a sofa".
