During a tearful segment on This Morning, Alison Hammond bid an emotional farewell to the show's departing editor, Martin Frizell, who's been with the ITV programme for a decade.
Alison and co-host Josie Gibson urged Martin to join them on the sofa for a heartfelt tribute.The duo shared how pivotal Martin had been in their careers; Alison's voice trembled as she noted, "He's the one that took a chance on us, transforming mine and Josie's careers," She expressed her gratitude by stating, "It's an incredible opportunity and we just want to say thank you very much.
We love you." Alison declared how much he meant to the team: "On behalf of the team on This Morning we think you are incredible and we are so sad to see you go," and was followed by Josie appreciating Martin's faith in her abilities: "I just want to say, thank you so much because you believed in me when I didn't even believe in myself and you grew me as a presenter and I just can't thank you enough." Martin humbly responded: "If you were rubbish, you wouldn't be on telly," assuring them, "You're very good.
It has been a great ride and a fantastic time." Josie Gibson shared a heartfelt moment on the show as she announced the departure of their beloved editor, Martin, calling it a "very sad day", reports the Mirror.
