Fans of the 00s girl band rejoice, because Girls Aloud are back – and you only need to wait a few months to hear their new music.
Bandmate Kimberley Walsh revealed that the group will be releasing some new music, and it should be available to fans by May.
Last year marked 20 years since the girl group formed through talent show Popstars: The Rivals.The spin off of Popstars, which was responsible for forming the 00s hit bands Hear’Say and LibertyX, put band members Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, and Nicola Roberts together to form Girls Aloud, with the girl group going on to win the competition.The band released music over a 10 year period, with hits including Sound of the Undergroud, The Show, and Call the Shots, and were named the "Most Successful Reality TV Group" in the 2007 edition of Guinness World Records.The group had 21 top 10 singles and four top 10 albums, and amassed millions of fans over the years, becoming one of the most successful British girl groups of the 00s.
After 10 years of making music together, the group disbanded, with many of them going on to pursue solo careers, and officially called it quits on March 20 2013.
