A schoolgirl was attacked by an "out of control" XL Bully in a horrifying incident on a school trip. The group of primary school children were left in tears after the dangerous dog went for one of the pupils and was "hanging onto her".
Shocked eyewitness said the huge animal, which allegedly wasn't on a lead, "latched onto" a young girl as teachers desperately tried to pull her away.
Police have launched a probe and officers are trying to trace the animal and its owners following the incident, which has left all those involved shaken.
The drama unfolded at Salford Quays, near Manchester, shortly before 11am on Thursday. The group of around 20 kids are understood to be from a local primary school and were accompanied by three teachers.
