Get into festive spirit at 'magical' Stirling Castle with Christmas afternoon tea and wreath making

Historic Stirling Castle is to host three festive events in the run up to Christmas, giving visitors a chance to get into the festive spirit with afternoon teas, shopping trips, crafting workshops and theatre shows.On Tuesday, December 3, the popular Christmas Shopping Fair will return to the castle.

It will take place in the Great Hall, Palace Apartments, and Chapel Royal with stalls showcasing the very best of local brands, crafts and foods and drink.Musical entertainment will be on offer courtesy of a brass band who will play some seasonal tunes and there will be tasty treats to enjoy, such as delicious mince pies and mulled wine.Iconic STV weatherman Seán Batty will be on hand this year to meet visitors and sign copies of his brand new book ‘The Worst Christmas Weather Ever’.Christmas Afternoon Tea will be on offer in the Great Hall on selected dates from Saturday, December 7, to Sunday, December 15, offering a dining experience fit for royalty and a feast featuring festive favourites like pigs in blankets, salmon blinis, turkey and mince pies.A Festive Wreath Making workshop will take place on Sunday, December 8, where visitors can craft their own wreath to add a touch of homemade charm to their homes this Christmas.
