Genre Vet Richard Stanley Joins Dark Thriller ‘The Palace’ From ‘Peter Five Eight’ Director

deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Genre vet Richard Stanley (Color Out Of Space, Hardware) has boarded dark thriller The Palace as executive producer.
Michael Zaiko Hall’s (Peter Five Eight) next feature follows a gambler and his wife who win the deed to an old movie palace, encountering treachery and murder as they embark on restoring it.
John Fessler from Side Street Studios is set to produce along with Robin Haworth at Ascent Films. Casting is underway with the film due to shoot in late summer.
The film, which will be billed as “Richard Stanley Presents The Palace”, is described by producers as “a dark 1960s thriller homage with an underlying commentary on the current state of cinema”.
