The Strictly Come Dancing star, 38, who gave birth to her son Thiago back in July, took to social media to share the tragic news where she revealed that her beloved aunt, who she referred to as the “matriarch of her family, had passed away at the age of 93.
In the heartbreaking post, mum-of-two Gemma explained that she and her family had “said goodbye” to her Auntie Sheila and added that her loved one was “now at peace” with her uncle.
Sharing the news, the former Hollyoaks star shared a video of her aunt with her four year old daughter Mila when she was just a baby as well as a more recent picture of the pair.
Captioning the post, she wrote: “Today we said goodbye to Auntie Shelia.The kindest most caring lady and eldest relative we have.The matriarch of our family.
