The presenter was back on air on Wednesday morning, but his co-host Isabel Webster was notably absent. Instead, Eamonn Holmes was joined by Ellie Costello.

While Eamonn has not publicly commented on why he left the show mid-broadcast, a spokesperson confirmed to Express.co.uk that the TV host had "fallen ill".They stated: "Eamonn had to finish earlier today as he was feeling unwell.

He hopes to be back tomorrow." The former This Morning star unexpectedly left the GB News desk offscreen around 7:45am during an interview with Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Mental Health Maria Caulfield.

Isabel, 41, carried on presenting the final 90 minutes of their show alone, without giving any explanation for Eamonn's sudden departure.
