Gary Neville urges Erik ten Hag to start new Manchester United signing in clash with Liverpool

Former Manchester United captain turned pundit Gary Neville has urged Erik ten Hag to make a big call for the match against Liverpool.

The ex-United man was speaking to Sky Sports' Jamie Carragher when he made the admission ahead of the clash between the two North West giants.

In previous weeks, Ten Hag’s side have lacked ‘control’ in games and despite a scratchy opening day victory against Fulham, the game against Brighton - a 2-1 defeat - followed a similar pattern to several of last season’s defeats.

Against the Seagulls, Ten Hag opted to start with Bruno Fernandes as the furthest forward in an unusual role with Mason Mount adding support from midfield.
