Manchester City welcome Chelsea to the Joie Stadium on Sunday for their first home game of the Women's Super League season. City opened their 2023/24 campaign with a convincing 2-0 win over West Ham last weekend.
Leila Ouahabi was sent off for a high boot against West Ham but that was after Lauren Hemp and Jill Roord had found the back of the net.
City were without the prolific Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw who was ruled out through injury. Instead, Chloe Kelly took led the attack with Hemp and Mary Fowler completing the front three.
The 26-year-old Jamaica star is set to make her return against Chelsea. City boss Gareth Taylor said: “Bunny is in good shape, better than last weekend.
