A furloughed dad transformed his "manky old shed" into a pub for his keyworker wife and their two kids. With lots of time on his hands, Jack Winwood set about creating garden boozer The Dog House, while partner Leanne was busier than ever at Solihull Hospital in the West Midlands.

The 34-year-old electrician had plans of converting his Coleshill home's shed into a man cave, but once the pandemic hit he decided to create a space Leanne could relax with kids Ellis, eight, and Nancy, four.

Taking advantage of his vast links across the trade industry and tips on various Facebook groups, Jack eventually finished the project at a cost of around £3,000, reports BirminghamLive.
