A Manchester-based influencer has gone viral on TikTok after warning people not to move to Manchester and branding the city's rental market 'ridiculous'.

Jess Geary, 25, filmed the angry video after three months of searching for a flat in the city centre - to no avail. Speaking to the Manchester Evening News , she said she had only managed to get one viewing during that entire time period - which took place this afternoon.

She will be left without somewhere to live if she cannot find a flat within the next week. She said flat advertisements are taken down 'within minutes' and soaring rents mean she - along with many other young people - are being priced out of the city centre.
