An inquest has opened into the death of Tyson Fury's cousin Rico Burton. The 31-year-old was fatally stabbed outside a bar in the Goose Green area of Altrincham in the early hours of Sunday, August 21.
Coroner Adrian Farrow opened an inquest into the death of Mr Burton, a roofer who lived in Carrington, at Manchester South Coroner's Court today (Thursday).
The coroner revealed that a post-mortem examination had given Mr Burton's provisional cause of death as a 'stab wound to the neck'.
Police coroner's officer Simon Toft confirmed the injury 'arose as a result of an incident in which Mr Burton sustained a single injury to his neck'.
