Good Morning Britain reportedly dropped viewers this morning as disgruntled fans expressed their intention to "switch off" from the ITV show.

The breakfast programme, hosted by Kate Garraway and Rob Rinder, was covering one major news story this morning (August 9) which was the remanding in custody of former glamour model Katie Price.

The mother of five was arrested after a warrant was issued for her detention due to her failure to attend court proceedings last month.A spokesperson for the Met Police confirmed: "A 46-year-old woman from Surrey was arrested at Heathrow Airport at 19:45hrs on Thursday, 8 August for failing to appear at court."She has been remanded in custody at a west London police station to appear at the Royal Courts of Justice tomorrow, Friday, 9 August." As Kate and Rob discussed the issue, and the ITV show displayed a banner with the news across the bottom of the screen, viewers at home were not pleased.

One viewer took to Twitter to announce they would no longer be watching, writing: "No balance again .. had to switch channel #GMB."Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. You'll receive daily updates on breaking news as well as the top headlines across Scotland. No one will be able to see who is signed up and no one can send messages except the Daily Record team. All you have to do is click here if you're on mobile, select 'Join Community' and you're in!If you're on a desktop, simply scan the QR code above with your phone and click 'Join Community'.We also treat our community members to special offers, promotions, and adverts from us and our partners.
