Full list of essential shops to stay open in Scotland's level 4 Boxing Day lockdown

coronavirus spreading. Under Tier 4  restrictions, non-essential businesses will be forced to close, including clothes shops, gyms, hairdressers and restaurants.

Nicola Sturgeon  announced  the restrictions - which are set to remain in place for three weeks - during an emergency press briefing on Saturday.

The closures will likely be another blow to stores during what is usually a busy Boxing Day sales period after an already challenging year for retailers.

Orkney,  Shetland  and the Western Isles are the only areas exempt and will move to level three - which allows non-essential retailers to open.
