From the North West to Ukraine - the young lad who has given up life in UK to help win the fight against Russia
manchestereveningnews.co.ukSeven weeks ago, Kyle Johnson gave up his ordinary life in the North West to travel to the war-torn country of Ukraine. With five years military training and an overriding sense of duty - he felt he had to help.
Since the beginning of March, the 27-year-old has helped with armed extractions, rescued children and vulnerable adults - and cooked meals for local Ukrainian people in their homes.
As we speak to Kyle from an undisclosed location in Ukraine (due to safety concerns), air raid sirens sound out in the distance.
They don't seem to phase him as he tells us his main priority is the innocent civilians still living here.
