Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip was thrown into chaos when Gino D'Acampo quit after three series leading it to be axed. The chef, 46, said that he was leaving due to a row over 'complicated' contracts.
Fred has now told The Sun of his new idea for a show: 'I'm reading an incredible book called Black Spartacus, about a guy called Toussaint Louverture who led the revolution in Haiti and I want to do a passion project about him. 'I think there is a series there about incredible historical figures such as himself.
I think there is a very interesting kind of historical programme there to show the people, the landscape and the country of Haiti, as well of course the food. ' The star added: 'It would be very interesting.
