A middle-east superfight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk could be announced next week amidst the controversy surrounding the purse split for Fury's fight with Dilian Whyte.
WBC mandatory challenger Whyte is in arbitration over the 80:20 split proposed by Fury's camp and the deadline for the purse split has been pushed back to next Wednesday 26th January.
Meanwhile Usyk is set for a rematch with Anthony Joshua following the Ukrainian's impressive win over the Brit back in September, becoming IBF, WBO and IBO champion in the process.
However, these fights could be set aside for a colossal unification bout as Fury and Usyk could do battle in the middle east to finally unify the division following the collapse of Fury's proposed fight with Joshua last year.
