Four men have been formerly charged in connection with the death of a man after an alleged incident in Manchester city centre, Greater Manchester Police said today.
Jack Barnes, 29, originally from Hull, suffered a cardiac arrest and hypoxic brain injury. He died seven weeks later on December 2, 2016.
GMP said Stephen Rowlands, 67, Brian Gartside, 59, Matthew Sellers, 29, and Paul Fogarty, 50, have each been charged with a count of unlawful act manslaughter. The Manchester Evening News reported earlier this month the Crown Prosecution Service had authorised Greater Manchester Police to charge the four men.
