More closures have been announced for four major UK banks - with five more to shut in Scotland.The Bank of Scotland, Halifax, Lloyds and Natwest are shutting a combined 36 locations across the UK.
It comes after Barclays and Lloyds Banking announced 63 closures this past June, including 19 across Scotland. The Bank of Scotland is closing two branches in its name sake country, with Halifax closing three Scottish outlets - plus another 12 across England.
Lloyds is also shutting 18 banks in England, while Natwest is closing just one in London, the Mirror reports.Closures are set to begin in 2024, with some starting as early as next January.
