Paradox Interactive has published its 2021 financial report revealing that its revenues have dropped by 19 per cent.Following the release of the year-end report, which also confirmed that its Q4 2021 revenues were also down 10 per cent, Paradox CEO Fredrik Wester described 2021 as a “challenging year” and laid out its plan to make this year more successful (thanks, GameWatcher).“2021 has been a challenging year for Paradox. Too few content releases, too low quality on some of our releases and several discontinued projects leaves us with a full-year result that we are far from satisfied with,” Wester said.

Epic Games will be making hundreds of temporary testers into full employees with benefits.As reported by The Verge, Epic Games will be hiring its US-based temporary staff full-time, complete with benefits. This will be offered to quality assurance testers and other “eligible” contract-based employees.The news comes about from an employee-facing memo, where the Fortnite developer wrote that it will “offer full-time at-will employment to eligible US-based contingent workers” and that “many of those offers will be effective April 4th, 2022.” The memo does also note that some will not receive the offer, saying, “there are a few exceptions in which it makes sense for both the worker and Epic to maintain contingent worker status.”Elka Looks, a spokesperson for Epic Games, told The Verge that the developer will hire “a few hundred” of its contracts, and that “most but not all” are QA testers.

Bad Boy Chiller Crew have launched a new ‘fans for foodbanks’ initiative at their gigs.The Bradford trio (made up of MCs Kane, Clive and GK), launched the initiative last week (February 18) in Manchester at local venue Gorilla, with gig-goers bringing non-perishable foods along to the gigs to donate to a local food bank.All last week’s donated food went to The Trussell Trust-approved Manchester Central Foodbank, with the band personally delivering the items there after the show.A statement said: “…The band have seen the all-too-real effects of extreme poverty in the UK having grown up on estates in Bradford where food banks are a vital part of the community.“The damaging effects of the pandemic have caused food bank usage to rise to an all time high and the trio wish to make a difference, trialling this donation initiative at their recent Manchester show.”Now, there are plans to roll out the scheme during their upcoming Spring 2022 tour that begins this April.Fans who bring items for the food bank along to the gigs will be rewarded with limited-edition signed posters and a promise from the band to match all monetary donations made at the show.You can see the full list of BBCC’s upcoming UK tour dates here.
