Piers Morgan had a laugh on his 59th birthday, even though he was the butt of the joke! The TV presenter and former GMB anchor pulled out all the stops with a fancy dinner at his favourite Beverly Hills restaurant, Via Alloro.
Surrounded by his loved ones, he polished off a meal of steak and wine, before being handed a giant plate piled high with cake, ice cream, and fruit.
But there was quite an unusual candle served up with his dessert - it was shaped like a tombstone and cheekily said: "Basically dead." Next to a pic of him giggling beside the cake, Piers admitted this treat was a bit of a mood killer during his special day.
He posted: "Nothing like a 'BASICALLY DEAD' tombstone on your birthday cake to boost morale at this difficult moment in life's ageing process," following it up with a laughing face emoji.
