Forensic officers are examining a car that was found burnt out in North Lanarkshire following a shooting incident at a house the same evening.The Kia Sportage, which was either silver or grey coloured, was found near the A71, Ayr Road, Shotts around 11.10pm on Monday, February 19.The vehicle’s discovery followed an incident where a firearm was discharged at a house, which led to a man being treated for a minor injury at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

They are appealing to the public for any information and are studying CCTV.Earlier that night, around 8.10pm, police received a report of a firearm being discharged at the door of a property in Randolph Crescent in the Whins of Milton area of Stirling.Police and an ambulance crew attended and a 38-year-old man was taken to the hospital for treatment before he was discharged.Detective Inspector John Currie of Stirling Police Office said: “Since this incident was reported, we have been carrying out extensive enquiries in and around the local area along with gathering and studying a large amount of CCTV footage.“We believe this was a targeted attack and are following a number of lines of enquiry.
