Fly-tipping hotspot in Craigneuk successfully cleared by council

A fly-tipping hotspot in Craigneuk has been cleared after large amounts of rubbish was dumped at the site.Significant quantities of used materials were left throughout the lane at Craigneuk that is located between the residential streets of Glencleland Road and Flaxmill Avenue with the final stretch of the path also backing onto Glencairn Avenue.Councillor Nathan Wilson reported the fly-tipping to North Lanarkshire’s Environment Service and he called on the local authority to clear the site.A visit was arranged by the council with items including two fridges, blinds, wood, a mattress and carpet all removed from the section of the lane that is accessed from Meadowhead Road.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
