Flight from Manchester forced to divert 1,000 miles away after declaring emergency

A flight from Manchester as diverted this morning after a medical emergency on-board. It happened on flight TOM342 being operated by the charter airline Go2Sky.

The flight, containing a large number of TUI holidaymakers, bound for Ohrid is a city in North Macedonia, took off from Manchester Aiprort shortly 8am.

However around an hour and a half into its roughly three flight, it declared an emergency. It landed at Frankfuirt Airport in central Germany, around 1,100 miles from its destination. The passenger was 'disembarked and met by medical professionals' they added.
