As top writer and director names swirl around the film adaption, T.J. Newman's forthcoming book, Falling, is debuting its first official trailer.

The 56-second tease follows a whirlwind couple of weeks for the 36-year-old author, a one-time flight attendantwho, in a matter of days earlier this month, inked both a seven-figure book deal withSimon & Schuster's Avid Reader and a seven-figure pact for the movie rights at Universal.

The project, which began as scribblings on the back onnapkins and iPads during Newman's former red-eye route, is set 35,000 feet in the air.The premise: 143 passengers on a crowdedflight from New York to L.A.
