Flames soar after car 'set alight' outside Greater Manchester home

Emergency services descended after a car was 'set alight' outside a Wigan home in the early hours. Police and firefighters were called out to Church Street, in Ince, shortly after 12.35am this morning (December 12).

Video footage from the scene shows flames soaring from the car, which was parked outside the front of a property. At one point, a small explosion can be seen while the fire continues to rage.

Smoke could also be seen billowing from the vehicle. The Manchester Evening News understands the incident is being investigated as arson.
