A five-year-old Hamilton boy who has a rare cancer was super-excited when he got the chance to go for a spin in a Lamborghini.Owen Osawaru from Hamilton got behind the wheel of the supercar thanks to the team at the Les Hoey MBE DreamMaker Foundation.The youngster who started P2 at Udston Primary in Hillhouse on Wednesday has been battling ill health since an early age.Owen was diagnosed in 2020 with cancer in his left kidney and had surgery, and he then underwent radiotherapy and chemotherapy.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

The doctor said it had recurred, but was also in his lung. They did radiotherapy again and it went well. The one on his lung was tiny.“They operated on the one on Owen’s leg and he went every day for six weeks of radiotherapy.
