Two youths have been arrested after a young boy was robbed at knifepoint at a skatepark in Irlam on Sunday (September 1). Police were called to the incident off Liverpool Road, where two children, whose ages have not been confirmed, were arrested by officers.

The victim, thought to have been an 11-year-old boy, fled the scene before officers arrived. An appeal has now been launched to trace him amid investigations into the robbery. A spokesperson for the force said: "This afternoon we have arrested two juveniles at Irlam skatepark on suspicion of a knife-point robbery and theft of a moped from yesterday. "Understandably, the victim of the robbery, who is described as an 11 year old male, has fled the scene before officers have arrived and detained the suspects. "We want to ensure that these two are charged and remanded into custody but we need the victim to come forward to do this.
