Five Manchester United youngsters promoted to first team training

Five Manchester United youngsters were drafted into the first team's training session on Saturday. Thirteen United players who were on international duty in June reported for pre-season ahead of the squad's flight to the United States on Wednesday for their three-game tour.

Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof, Anthony Elanga, Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Scott McTominay, Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia and Facundo Pellistri were all back at Carrington this weekend.

Eric Bailly and Alex Telles, who spent last season on loan at Marseille and Sevilla, did not return amid plans for them to be sold. The senior squad members involved in the midweek friendly win over Leeds United in Oslo were at Carrington but did not appear to participate in the session with their returning teammates.
