Police hunting for the killer of Ann Coll have released a picture of the murder victim, as they appeal for information.The 61-year-old was found dead in a property in Rutherglen, near Glasgow, just days before Christmas.
She was discovered seriously injured in the property, in the South Lanarkshire town's Newfield Place, at around 12.45am on Friday, December 22 and pronounced dead at the scene.Her death has been confirmed as suspicious following a post-mortem and a murder investigation is ongoing, led by detectives from Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team.A team of forensic officers were seen scouring the property in Rutherglen after they confirmed a woman’s body was found on Friday.
Uniformed officers were pictured standing guard while a number of marked vehicles are parked up in the street.Detective Chief Inspector Lynsey Watters said: "Our thoughts are with Ann’s family and we are providing them with support at this very difficult time."Our investigation into her murder is ongoing and I would urge anyone who can help to get in touch as soon as you can.
