A teaser image has been released ahead of a brand new factual series dropping next month on BBC Scotland and iPlayer which has been described as a "real-life version of US legal drama suits" swapping Hollywood for the streets of Glasgow.
The ground-breaking BBC series, The Firm, follows internationally renowned lawyer and campaigner, Aamer Anwar, and his team, who are committed to fighting for the underdog in a bid to ensure justice is served.
It provides a captivating insight across eight episodes, produced by Craig Hunter and Joe Sharp, into the inner workings of a high-profile and extremely high-pressured law firm in Glasgow, where Aamer’s company is based.
It follows Aamer as he embarks on the busiest year of his career. Working across three public inquiries, he represents the family of Sheku Bayoh – described as "Scotland’s George Floyd" – at the public inquiry into his death in police custody, as well as the Scottish Covid Bereaved at both the Scottish Covid-19 Inquiry and the UK Covid-19 Inquiry – the biggest public inquiry in British history.The Firm aexplores Aamer’s personal story and the trauma that drives him, as well as his close relationship with his three children.
