Crews were called to reports of a fire on Owen Street just after 7am.The blaze is believed to have started inside a Deansgate Square tower block.A number of fire engines responded to the incident and firefighters used jets and breathing apparatus to bring the blaze under control.Pictures taken at the scene this morning show a fire engine outside the tower block.Several police vehicles were also pictured at the scene.The cause of the fire - and the floor of the building that it started on - has not yet been confirmed at this stage.In a statement, a GMFRS spokesperson said: “At around 7.12am on Friday, 26 February, firefighters.
