An Italian restaurant that was torched in a firebomb vendetta has been demolished. Da Luciano in Bothwell, Lanarkshire, was targeted in two attacks which took place just weeks apart.
The popular venue was set alight in July but a further blaze in a campaign of intimidation saw it gutted the following month.
Police Scotland confirmed the incidents were being treated as 'wilful'. Following the fires the restaurant building had been sealed off amid safety fears.
Demolition workers were spotted at the site this week and the building was knocked down.A digger has now been brought in to clear the area of rubble.
