Fiorentina chief breaks silence on Sofyan Amrabat to Manchester United transfer rumours

Fiorentina chief executive Giuseppe Barone has said that no bid or proposal has been received for midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, amid reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.

Speculation in Italy suggested United had agreed personal terms with the Morocco international over a switch to Old Trafford this summer.

Erik ten Hag is keen to add to his squad this summer after a successful first campaign with the Reds. United secured a return to the Champions League with a third-placed finish in the Premier League and won silverware in the form of the Carabao Cup, the club's first trophy since 2017.
