Fern Britton, 65, took to Twitter to praise the Harry Potter actress after she left BBC Radio 4 listeners in stitches this morning.Addressing her 123,100 Twitter followers, Fern wrote: “God bless #MiriamMargolyes on @BBCr4today.“Her poetic and fulsome thoughts on #RobbieColtrane and slightly pithier ones on #JeremyHunt. “God bless freedom of speech,” the This Morning star added with a heart emoji.
Miriam was being interviewed live on air when she told listeners she had just bumped into the former Health Secretary in the BBC corridors after his own interview.
Jeremy Hunt is currently having a busy morning of interviews after being appointed Chancellor of the Exchequer yesterday, following the sacking of Kwasi Kwarteng.The BAFTA award-winning star told Radio 4 presenters: “When I saw him there I just said, ‘You've got a hell of a job, the best of luck’.”To the shock of listeners, however, Miriam then went on to swear loudly before being removed from the airwaves.“What I really wanted to say was, ‘F*** you!’ but you can’t say that,” she revealed.
