Today Programme presenters were forced to apologise after Miriam Margolyes, 81, swore loudly in a verbal attack on Jeremy Hunt, 55, live on air.

Miriam was being interviewed live on air when she told listeners she had just bumped into the former Health Secretary in the BBC corridors after his own interview.

Jeremy Hunt is currently having a busy morning of interviews after being appointed Chancellor of the Exchequer yesterday, following the sacking of Kwasi Kwarteng. The BAFTA award-winning star told Radio 4 presenters: “When I saw him there I just said, ‘You've got a hell of a job, the best of luck’.”To the shock of listeners, however, Miriam then went on to swear loudly before being removed from the airwaves.“What I really wanted to say was, ‘F*** you!’ but you can’t say that,” she revealed.
