Fern Britton has undergone shoulder replacement surgery after arthritis in the joint had left her in constant pain. The 66-year-old former Ready, Steady, Cook and This Morning presenter shared a selfie from her hospital bed with her arm in a sling to let fans know she had finally gone under the knife.
Last year the mum-of-four opened up on how arthritis in her knee and shoulder had left her in ‘pain all the time’. She posted a selfie to her Instagram account on Tuesday to show her 123,000 followers that she was recovering from the surgery.
In the caption, she wrote: “Morning all!! shoulder replacement done and a success. I can’t thank the staff at #StMichaels #NHS hospital in Hayle, cornwall, enough. “Such care and kindness.
