Fern Britton, 66, shares hospital snap after having surgery following constant pain

The 66-year-old former Ready, Steady, Cook and This Morning presenter shared a selfie from her hospital bed with her arm in a sling to let fans know she had finally gone under the knife.
Last year the mum-of-four opened up on how arthritis in her knee and shoulder had left her in ‘pain all the time’. She posted a selfie to her Instagram account on Tuesday to show her 123,000 followers that she was recovering from the surgery.
In the caption, she wrote: “Morning all!! shoulder replacement done and a success. I can’t thank the staff at #StMichaels #NHS hospital in Hayle, cornwall, enough. “Such care and kindness.
Back home, Barbara is in her doctors uniform and attending to me constantly…. Mostly telling me it’s time for her breakfast, elevenses, lunch, tea, supper .. [sic]."
