The former Coronation Street actress took to social media where she shared two pictures from her hospital bed of her arm with a drip in it as she revealed that she received two blood transfusions.
Lucy-Jo, 40, explained her health scare in the lengthy caption as she wrote: "Well it’s been a strange few days…. I’m sorry I’ve been so quiet on here… But I was rushed to A&E on Thursday afternoon needing a blood transfusion!
I actually ended up needing 2, my HB levels were that dangerously low! "But thanks to the most amazing NHS staff at Salford Royal, I am on the mend.
A big shout out to Robert Jackson and Freddy, both of you made me feel so at ease and you both took such good care of me on the emergency assessment unit….
