While Bridgerton fans are no doubt still heartbroken at the news that Regé-Jean Page is not returning for season two, another key character has been cast.
We now know who will be played Edmund Bridgerton. Rupert Evans has been cast in the role of the Bridgerton patriarch, the late father of the Bridgerton children in the smash-hit Netflix series.
We already know that the second season will centre around Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) but this latest casting gives us a pretty big clear steer about what lies in store for the much-anticipated new season.
The British actor is known for his ongoing role in CW’s Charmed since 2018 and he previously starred in Amazon’s The Man in the High Castle.
