Ted Baker stores will cease to exist on the British high street by the end of today, three and a half decades after the iconic fashion brand first opened its doors in Glasgow.
After nearly four decades of serving up fashion with distinctive designs, Ted Baker's final 31 shops across the UK and Ireland are set to shutter their doors for good.
The fashion brand's online presence has already disappeared. The celebrated store was initially launched by Ray Kelvin back in 1988 and quickly became renowned for its signature patterns and florals. READ MORE: Ted Baker announces all 31 remaining stores - including Manchester city centre branch - will close this week Speaking on the closure, Hargreaves Lansdown's head of money and markets Susannah Streeter said that the chain's nationwide boutiques have reached a "sorry conclusion in a very tough fashion retail environment".
Complications emerged for Ted Baker when No Ordinary Designer Label Limited (NODL), the company operating its UK outlets, plunged into administration in March, casting a shadow over the retailers future.
