As grotto visits go, there are always plenty to choose from across Greater Manchester. But there's a place in Bolton offering something a little unique this year - for little ones to meet Santa inside a tractor.

Milk Maids is at Deardens Farm, in Manchester Road, Over Hulton, and makes ice cream from award-winning milk from its own cows.

The business has been a massive success since it started making ice cream back in 2016 and tickets are already flying out for the one-to-one experience with the big man. "They get an ice cream and there’s also goody bags included too which contain a Milk Maids tree decoration, cookies, an instant pic with Santa, and a glass milk bottle which people can bring back to us on Christmas Eve and we refill so that they can leave out for Santa. "Overall it's a really great experience and we've already sold half of the tickets." Parents and carers can use the online booking system to book a slot on selected dates.

The booking system allows them to pass over important about their child to share with the elves and Santa. Milk Maids opens daily 10am to 5pm, excluding Tuesdays.
