More than 1000 fans enjoyed fantastic footballing fun in the sun as Airdrie hosted a cavalcade of famous faces for a charity extravaganza in memory of a beloved Lanarkshire youngster.

The Allstars v Legends 2023 clash at Airdrieonians’ Excelsior Stadium saw teams including Sanjeev Kohli ( Still Game’s Navid ), River City’s Stephen Purdon and Cameron Fulton, wrestler and actor Grado, Coatbridge boxer Ricky Burns and Airdrie MMA fighter Paul Craig take to the field alongside Diamonds’ favourites Allan Gow and Jerome Vareille.

And the Legends took home the Faye Taylor Memorial Cup after a thrilling 7-3 victory. The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
