Family pay tribute to 'much loved son' who died in horror crash on Scots road

The family of a Scots man killed in a horror crash near Largs have paid tribute to a "much loved son, brother and grandson."Johnny Baxter, 22, from Kilburnie, died in the incident on the A760 near Largs on Tuesday, October 15, at around 5.10pm, involving a silver Honda Civic and a white Mercedes B class.The passenger of Johny's Honda, also a 22-year-old man, was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

The 63-year-old male driver of the Mercedes was transported to University Hospital Crosshouse in Kilmarnock for assessment.His family has asked for privacy and released the following statement: "Jonny will be missed by everyone who knew him.

He was a much loved son, brother and grandson." The Record previously reported on his sister paying tribute to her brother. She wrote: "Sleep tight my beautiful angel.

There’s no way I could have prepared for your passing. Onto bigger and better things up there now. "The boy I’ve looked up to my full life, the boy I told all my drama to, the boy I would go to when I just needed a hug, the boy I told my whole life story too, the boy who probably knows me better than I know myself. "You're the most caring and inspiring man I know.
